

Kate
Lambert is an actress, writer, and improviser currently living in
Chicago, Illinois. For her undergraduate degree, Kate attended Wake
Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Wake Forest's
Theatre Department had a well rounded curriculum where, in addition
to acting, she studied Period and Style with James Dodding (RADA);
voice and movement; and directing. While there, she was nominated
for an Irene Ryan Award for excellence in acting for her work as Dunyasha
in The Cherry Orchard and received the departmental award
for Best Actress and Best Director.
Kate studied abroad in London through Boston University and took a
class under Michael Billington, Britain's longest serving theatre
critic, head theatre critic for The Guardian, and renowned Harold
Pinter biographer. She graduated with her B.A. in Theatre in 2003.
After graduation, Kate moved back to Chicago where she has taken many
improv and acting classes including European Repertory's Chekhov Master
Class taught by Yesan Peyankov and Solo Improvisation taught by Andy
Eninger. She is a graduate of Second City's Improv Conservatory and
Musical Improv Conservatory and iO's (formerly Improv Olympic) improvisation
program.
She has performed at numerous venues throughout Chicago including:
Chicago Center for the Performing Arts, Congress Theatre, Gorilla
Tango, iO, Oracle Theatre, Playground Theater, Second City's Donny's
Skybox, Strawdog Theatre, and Studio BE. She recently returned from
performing in The Los Angeles Comedy Festival. She has also acted
in many short films. Kate currently serves on the Board of Directors
for the theatre company Magic Mouth Productions. Groups Kate has regularly
performed with are Cell Camp; *Creepy Hug; Extra Rib; Robot vs. Dinosaur;
the improv group, The Katydids; the improv group, Velvet Rope; and
the iO Harold team, You People. She continues to appear in new productions
and short films regularly, so check back often for updates.
